A Safer. Better Dog Daycare.
Not all dog daycares are created equal.
Boston Dog Company is an award-winning pet care provider. In fact, we are the only dog daycare in Massachusetts to win the Triple Crown. The Triple Crown is an industry term for being ranked 1# by each of the 3 Industry Magazines. Being ranked #1 by one industry magazine is a a great honor. We are ranked #1 by all 3 industry magazines. The only dog daycare in Massachusetts to have ever won this honor.
Not only have we won the prestigious Triple Crown. Boston Dog Company has been voted Best Dog Daycare in New England 4 years in a row (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)!
The Boston Dog Difference
It All Starts With the Dogs.
Boston Dog Company is an award-winning dog daycare.
We have one of the strictest dog evaluations in the dog daycare industry. In fact, we accept on average only 5-10% of applicants. This means that potentially 95 out of every 100 dogs are declined for acceptance into our dog daycare program. We have a strict evaluation process to ensure that every dog in our care are fun-loving, social, and 100% Non-Aggressive. We have even set a protocol in place that we can never accept more than 15% of applicants.
Mission-Driven not Profit-Driven
Most dog daycares are profit-driven with a sole focus on maximizing revenues. This bottom line thinking may result in higher profits for a dog daycare. However, the bottom line is that it results in a lower quality of dog care for your dog. At Boston Dog Company, our money goes directly to supporting animals in need and advocating for animals rights. Our priority is the care, safety, and well-being of your dog.
Better Staff to Dog Ratio
Most dog daycares have 1 staff member to every 30 dogs. At Boston Dog Company we have 1 staff member for every 10 dogs. Better staff ratio means a better quality of care and higher level of safety for your dog.
Better Flooring. Rubber Flooring.
Now, most dog owners don't consider flooring type when choosing a dog daycare, but they should. Most dog daycares use tile, concrete, or linoleum. All 3 flooring types are not good for your dog to play on all day long. Imagine this, even for people to stand on a concrete or tile just for a few minutes it hurts your back. Now imagine a dog running and jumping on concrete or tile flooring. If it hurts for you to stand on this flooring surface it is substantially worse for your dog to run and jump on this flooring surface hour after hour. Boston Dog Company always uses rubber flooring in their dog daycare playspaces. Most dog daycares do not use rubber flooring due to the large expense of this flooring type. At Boston Dog Company, we believe it is disservice to your dog if we do not provide the safest environment.
Dogs go Bathroom Outside
We are the only daycare that walks dogs every 2-3 hours to the park or green space or outdoor playspace. Most dog daycares do not allow the dogs to leave their facility and as a result encourage dogs to pee and poop inside their facility. This is simply unsanitary. Regardless of how clean other dog daycares claim to be they will never be as clean as a dog daycare where dogs have the opportunity to relieve themselves outside. Dog daycares that do not walk dogs outside are especially dangerous for puppies learning to be housebroken.
Anti-Microbial Flooring
Boston Dog Company utilizes a one-of-kind proprietary anti-microbial and anti-bacterial coated floor. This state-of-the-art coating was designed in a laboratory to be pet-safe, and human-safe. This multi-million dollar patented technology makes this the most sanitary dog daycare flooring in the World!
Expertly-Trained Staff
Boston Dog Company employs some of the top animal care professionals in North America. In fact, more than half of our supervisors and managerial staff were recruited from out-of-state. We care so much for the dogs in our care that we traveled around America to find staff with extensive animal background. Our staff consists of: Animal behaviorists, Veterinarians, Certified Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Professional Dog Trainers, and Veterinary Medicine Students. In addition, to only hiring individuals with extensive animal experience all of our staff members must have previous volunteer experience. This is a key ingredient in our hiring process. Individuals with extensive volunteer experience at shelters and rescues proves that they are in the pet care industry, because they LOVE WORKING WITH ANIMALS!
A Home Away from HOME
At Boston Dog Company, we offer cage-free boarding directly in our staff member’s homes! Our HOME AWAY FROM HOME dog boarding option allows dogs to have on average 1,200-1,800 sq ft accommodations. This is even better accommodations than a Luxury Hotel Suite. We offer a 1-to-1 ration: 1 dog per staff member’s home. This ensure that your furry friend gets 1 on 1 attention and all the love that your doggie deserves. Most dog daycares will put your dog in a cage or crate, but that will never happen at the Boston Dog Company.
